July 20th -

Wow. There is a lot of fabulous food coming to the market now. I am overwhelmed by the sheer diversity of deliciousness that one little market can offer!
Garlic is good for everything. If you have never eaten local garlic, now is the time. The flavour is unbelievable!

Buy some stocks of fresh dill to help preserve your cucumbers & make some pickles!
Peaches!! Oh my. These princesses are so ripe & wonderful that they drip down your chin, and allow you to soak up the summer you waited all winter for. Preserve them in syrup for a taste of sweet summer mid-winter!
Glorious Glads. Buy them for someone special. buy them for yourself. buy them for a friend. buy them for the office. any which way their beauty will make you glad

Oh my. Local heirloom tomatoes!! This makes me so happy, I don't even have words for the tasty-ness of all the tomatoes to come

Zucchini. Buy them. Use them. Love them.

The chalkboard of the Market - look to it each week to see what is new & fresh, who our guest Chef will be, or what special events are occurring at the market that day.
Fresh cut & grilled veggies served with yogourt, tarragon & roasted swiss chard dip.

Our Guest Chef, "LC" from Rubidge Retirement Home Catering, brought along some fresh baked goods (that disappeared so fast, I didn't have time to photograph them!), lots of cooking ideas, and energy!

Market - July 13th

This beautiful mix of sun, heat & rain is bringing on bumper crops of many vegetables. Come on down to the market to stock up on all that the season has to offer. Now is the perfect time to preserve your veggies for those long winter months (blasphemy to mention them i know!)
Beautiful beets in a rainbow of colours
Cauliflower!
just the beginning of a zealous zucchini crop. roast it, toast it. chop it. bake it. eat it.
Although we all enjoyed the season of new potatoes, it is very excited that potatoes are starting to produce their big & beautiful bounty of spuds
