Wed. Sept. 29th

I can't believe it, but this week is the second last week of the Downtown Farmers' Market!
Amanda from the Old Stone Brewery will be cooking up some delicious local curry using donated butternut squash, fresh leeks, apples, and freshly harvest chicken from Lanes End Farm

Oct. 6th is the last day of the market!!



Sept. 22nd - Guest Chef Martin Strunk from Ritz Deli North


Martin Strunk from Ritz Deli North came to the market on Sept. 22nd to cook up some delicious butternut squash fritters and leek fritters.
These latka like fritters were served with fabulous basil yogourt
.
Market-goers enjoyed this warm treat on a damp day .

After 66 years, Harold & Lillian Lunn celebrated their retirement at the Downtown Farmers' Market on Sept. 8th . . .






NIght Kitchen Pizza


Guest Chef Tim from the Night Kitchen whipped some fabulous European style pizza. Using the thin crust that makes the Night Kitchen so famous, he topped it with a delicious mix of heirloom tomatoes, gaelic garlic, fresh basil and mozarella from Empire Cheese
